Failure to configure S4GX device using MAXII with PFL

Question

hi. im using the MAXII with PFL ip to configure S4GX device. the flash device is numonyx 256M flash.

i am able to program the flash & load a sof file using the JTAG if to the S4 but when i try usung configuration using the PFL - no success.

im using the FPP scheme - burst mode.

is there any importance to the option_BITS?? what is it?

are there any known issues with the quartus 9.1?

is there a ref design for the maxII using PFL?

i really need ur help..

you have to use the --optionbits --programmingmode and --pfl flags:  http://www.altera.com/support/kdb/solutions/rd08102010_306.html

i also think there were some issues with sof2flash in 9.1, you'll want to use 9.1sp1 or 9.1sp2. you should be able to find a solution that has the details

i have to state that im not usin NIOS..only MAXII with PFL
