Hi,

Correcting the deinterlacer control packets will probably not help because this also indicates that the core is not handling the input video as it should.

This is just a guess but I think that if your TPG is set for 720x500 interlaced then you should set your clipper to 640x240 (The clipper clips the interlaced fields not the frames). All control packets between the clipper and the deinterlacer should be with height=240.
