ddr ip core problem about "ddr init"?

Hello,

i have a question when i test the ddr ip core.

i use the megawizard to generated a "ddr controler", and use modelsim to simulate it. but when i read the example_ddr_driver.v file, i fount it didn't have any describe about "initialize ddr".

i want to know if the initialize work is done by the "ddr controler" automatically or i need to write the VHDL program by myself.
