Avalon-ST Data Format Adapter with channels

Hi,

I didn't find any documentation specifying how the ST Data Format Adapter works when "output symbols per beat" is greater than "input symbols per beat" (e.g. 8-bits-per-symbol; input: 8 bits (1 symbol); output: 32 bits (4 symbols)) and channel support is included.

If the input channel changes during output data is being gathered => what shall the output be?

Is there a buffer for each channel and channel data is not forwarded out until the channel buffer is full?
