Altera max10 on chip flash memory with a databus of 8bit

Is there a way to use the max10 (10M08) on chip flash memory with a databus of 8bit?

If I generate the IP, via QSYS. It ends up with a 32bit bus.

with the implementation of a 8bit processor, it would be more practical to have a 8bit interface...
