Agilex 5 E-series 065A GTS PMA/FEC Direct PHY

Hi Manuel.

When you select the RX Simplex setting for the PMA mode parameter, the Number of PMA lanes selection is limited to 1.

May I know what your IP setting?

FEC in Agilex 5 doesn't support bonding and that is the reason we have limited to single lane for the FEC Direct.

You may instantiate Multiple Single lane FEC designs and handle the Parallel Data handling for more than single channels.

Quick check, Have you or DFAE have filed IPS to Altera before for the same query?

If yes, kindly filed a new IPS to get further support on this matter, that would be more efficient.

I will check on the design availability but as far as I remember, we don't have much reference yet for Agilex5.

For now we have limitation in Agilex5 where FEC in Agilex 5 doesn't support bonding and that is the reason we have limited to single lane for the FEC Direct. I tried to look for reference design but we don't have it ready yet. We would definitely feedback this and make it available in future.
