Add property to altera IP in the _hw.tcl files

Hi everyone,

Ultimately I would like to add a property that is then generated as a# define macro in system.h file for some of Altera's IP cores (for example altera_avalon_pio). The approach that made sense to me is to modify the _hw.tcl files for the components, but this is very tedious and would potentially break with a software update. Is there another way to accomplish this that is more elegant/robust? I have seen how to do it for a custom component, but not editing altera's ip.
