About Design Limitations and Known Issues
In the "GTS SDI II IP User Guide", section 8. Design Limitations and Known Issues states a known issue: "High bit error rates are observed in recovered data."
It also states that there is no workaround in the current version of Quartus,
but are there any plans to address this issue?

Hi Gesso,
There is plan to provide a permanent fix on this issue in future release of Quartus.
We will update the guide once the fix is firm and well tested.
Let me know if there is anything else I can better assist.

Hi Gesso,
Upon checking internally, this issue was originates from the VCXO used in the "N" brand card, which does not support P48Hz.We have verified that Altera VCXO-less design works fine with P48Hz, meaning there is no fix required from Altera IP core.
IF you are using an SDI VCXO-based design, please check with your VCXO datasheet to ensure that P48Hz is supported by the VCXO you are using.
We will update it in the document soon as possible. Thanks for checking with us.
Hope that clarified your doubt.
Regards,
