Honored ContributorYou just define the IO_STANDARD for those pins as LVDS and then Quartus will do the rest.
You can do this in either the Pin Planner or the Assignment Editor. You don't need to connect the pin(s) in question to a ALTLVDS block if you don't need the deserialiser or if you want to write your own.
