Why does Quartus schematic editor cut off text?

The schematic editor seems to always clip the last characters of the pin names and node names (and other text). Is this expected behavior? Has anybody else noticed it and is there a fix or a setting I can change? Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm using Quartus prim 16.1, but I notice the same thing in 17.1.

    Hello. Find a solution for windows 10

    Go to display settings, press advanced scaling settings , disable "Let windows try to fix apps so they are not blurry" and set custom scaling for 120% and reboot computer.

    Fixed !!!!!

    Hi,

    Yes, Settings are available, Open Block diagram/Schematic File & then select Tools-> Options.. -> Block /Symbol Editor from Category.

    Refer Screenshots.

    Note: Font changes will not affect existing objects. It will only take effect when adding new objects.

    Hi Vikas,

    For some reason, the font and font size does not change and everything remains clipped. I find it peculiar that the color change does work. Any other thoughts?

    Hi,

    1. First insert any symbol then generate pins for symbol ports.

    2. Then Change Fonts & style for the All types of text (Block, Instances, port names etc.)

    3. Then again insert same symbol for two times then generate pins for symbol ports for the both.

    4. Still if you not observed font change then there might be resolution issue, refer following thread.

    I get exactly the problem as originally described when using a 1920x1080 primary monitor (set to 150%) and a 1920 x 1200 secondary (28", the one I am trying to work on, set to 100%). The problem occurs with labels, free text and even the text within Altera primitives. The only thing which seems to fix it is to set the primary monitor back to 100% - and then reboot the PC. Then all seems to be well.

    It would be good if this could be fixed properly (the primary monitor is 10.8", so at 100% the text is a challenge) but at least I can find my way round my schematics now.

    I doubt something like this will get fixed. The schematic editor hasn't been touched in years.
