What is the difference between the Stratix and Cyclone IV logic performance?

Hi,

When I want to select a FPGA, some basic features are easy to confirm.

For example, need 4 Gige Ethernet port, logic cells and RAM. Now the Cyclone IV also integrates the transceiver, and the price maybe cheaper than Stratix series, but how to judge whether or not the Cyclone IV support our application, that is, is the logic performance enough?

I don't find the logic performance comparision between Cycone IV and Stratix in your website. How do I judge whether or not we can use Cyclone IV to replace Stratix(if their LEs, transceiver and RAM are same)?

FPGA performance is very dependent on the actual design. As the previous post mentions you need to complete your design and check timing report in different devices to get a comparison.

Compile your design for Cyclone IV and check the timing report.

    Thanks.;) ;)
