USB Blaster not available
Hi Frank,
I just tried my Windows 11 laptop which only has 24.1 installed and I get the same result. The programmer won't recognize the USB blaster when the Rabbit programming cable is connected. It looks like it must be unique to my setup
Thanks for the help
Hello,
I am sorry, I tried to understand your setup here. What is Rabbit microcontroller do and what its relation with USB Blaster II ?
Basically, USB Blaster II only use for Altera device.

Hi Farabi,
the rabbit is a self contained 8 bit microcontroller with a Ethernet jack. I use it along with a Max 10 device in a system. The rabbit handles all of the ethernet communication and the the Max 10 all the real time control.
The rabbit runs a C program which is downloaded and debugged over usb using a FTDI device. This means in development mode I need two com ports. One for the usb blaster and one for the rabbit. The usb blaster works fine until I connect the rabbit. Once I connect the rabbit, the usb blaster option disappears from the Quartus programmer.regards

I am sorry, we can't help much on that. The USB Blaster II should have access to 1 COM port and rabbit should have accesss another COM port.
You need to check in your device manager etc. Basically USB Blaster II is working but have contention issue with Rabbit connector.

Hi,
as far as I understand the problem occurs with USB Blaster (FT245 based) rather than USB Blaster II (CY7C68013A based).
