USB blaster isuee

Hi

I'm trying to program a "10M04DCU324I7G" device and I have 2 USB blaster Rev. C programmers.

I'm using quartos programmer standard edition 25.1std.0 Build 1129 10/21/2025.

Driver is 2.12.28.0 date 8/16/2017.

1 blaster with USB is working, other blaster with with mini USB connection is not working (see attached images).

Any idea?

    Hi,
    small black box "Altera USB Blaster Rev.c" with Mini-USB connector is a clone known not to work with newer USB Blaster drivers due to an intentional incompatiblility built-in by FTDI. See previous Forum discussions Compatibility issue or bad Altera USB blasters? | Altera Community

    There instructions on the net how to overcome the problem by manually installing old drivers, You most likely need to disable Windows driver signature enforcement to use it. 

    Third party USB Blasters using original FTDI USB interface chips are not affected by the problem. E. g. Terasic USB Blaster, an Altera licensed copy, also apparently Waveshare USB-Blaster V2.

    Recommendation is to use original Altera USB Blaster programming cables. I am closing this case.
