SDI II IP Core to implement HD-SDI 720p Digital Video
Hello, I am looking into HD-SDI 720p Digital Video and using the SDI II IP Core. If anyone has used this IP core or has implemented an HD-SDI digital video source can you please let me know your experiences or comments on the ease of using the IP? Is it possible to implement and HD-SDI video without using the NIOS or ARM processor?
Thanks, joe2 Replies

If only TX is needed, it would be easy. RX multi-rate is a bit complicated against TX because dynamic transceiver reconfiguration is required. This example designs would help you.

What device are you using? You should not need an external processor to use the SDI II IP core. When you generate the IP core, you can choose to generate a example reference design. It's a good starting point for figuring out how the IP core integrates.
