Honored ContributorI had a look at the avalon interface specifications (http://www.altera.com/literature/manual/mnl_avalon_spec.pdf?gsa_pos=5&wt.oss_r=1&wt.oss=avalon) before posting, and if I'm not mistaken the chipselect signal only exists on tri-stated Avalon MM interfaces.
