Super ContributorUSB Blaster II is like 15 or 20 year old tech at this point (if not older). I don't know why it says "Engineering Sample" but I wouldn't worry.

user guide release 1.0 is from Jan. 2014, thus 11 years old. ES version is most likely distributor stock of similar age. The product has no electrolytic capacitors as far I'm aware of and doesn't age fast.
