Quartus II to compile Arria II GX

Hello. Here is a question about using quartus II to compile old Altera FPGA.

I am using Arria II GX (EP2AGX95EF29I3).

Previous, I was using Quartus II 12.1sp1 to compile it, and I need to do it again now.

However, the only old software versions which can be downloaded from Intel website are web edition of 13.0 and 13.1.

Those web editions support only partial of Arria II GX, and my device seems not included.

Could anyone tell me how can I obtain the Quartus II software version supporting all Arria II GX device such that I can compile it?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi ytlai,

Yes, for Arria II FPGAs in Quartus II Web Edition, it only supports EP2AGX45, your device is not included. However, in Quartus II Subscription Edition, it supports all Arria II FPGAs devices. Besides that, the Quartus Prime Standard Edition also supports all Arria II FPGAs devices.

Thus, you may consider upgrading your Quartus software to Quartus II Subscription Edition or Quartus Prime Standard Edition in order to compile your device.

Check out Quartus II Software Web Edition vs. Subscription Edition:

Check out Compare Quartus Prime Design Software Pro, Standard, and Lite Edition:

    Thanks.

    Best Regards,

@ventt Thank you for the reply. I checked through different Quartus II versions and also found that Quartus Prime Design Software "Standard" supports those older FPGA series, including all Arria II.
