11 years agoQuartus II support for MAX3000A & FLEX6000
I was using MAX-PLUS II version 8.4 to program 2 PLDs boards:
MAX3000A EPM3128ATC100-5 FLEX6000 EPF6024AQC240-1 Will Quartus II Subscription Edition support these 2 boards? to build, configure and compile. And will I need to buy ModelSim-Altera Edition software? The component design files: schematic, symbol, ABEL, test fixture, simulation and design information files were generated the data i/o synario version 4.1 FPGA Design Entry and Schematic Capture Package. The configuration output files generated by Altera MAXPLUS II fitter /compiler version 8.4. Can Quartus II can design the above mentioned design files? Thank you, Ali4 Replies

For the MAX3000A, Quartus II version 13.0 should still support that family and it is downloadable (Both subscripiton and web version) from the altera.
https://www.altera.com/downloads/download-center.html For Flex6k, you need to find a version of Quartus 9.0 or earlier based on this document, support for the family was dropped in Quartus 9.1 https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/rn/archives/rn_qts_91_dev_support.pdf If you request this from Altera, I'm sure they will provide it, but you probably want to really move these to newer families if you have that option. I stand corrected, 9.0 is available for download on the website too.

Hi ali.aldarraji,
Pete is right, it is recommended for you to move to newer devices if possible so that you could get support from Altera in terms of hardware and software whenever needed.
