NIOS II Vs Microblaze

Dear Experts,

I wish to have few clarifications regarding the NIOS II as below

1. Total number of instructions in the NIOS II processor?

2. Where to find the summary of instructions sets used in NIOS II?

3. How superior a NIOS II is compared to Microblaze?

4. Please do share the documents or web references which has complete specification comparison of NIOS II and Microblaze?

5. What is the equivalent instruction for CLZ in NIOS II?

6. Maximum operating frequency of NIOS II processor?

7. Is there any specific document available to port the firmware used in microblaze to NIOS II?

Based on this I wish to decide whether I have to continue with Microblaze or need to switch to NIOS II.

I humbly request all the community members to share their views and help me to proceed further.

    Question 7: I will get back to you as soon as possible on this as I will have to ask the internal engineering team whether we have any documentation on this.

    Hi,

    I just got some news back from the engineering team, and we do not have a direct porting of firmware from Microblaze to NIOS II documentation. In order to use NIOS II, you will need Intel's Product which can be enquired or purchased through Intel's Sales website according to your specification and needs.
