Motor on DEO Board

Can I use dc motor on DEO Board on the GPIO pins?

    Do you mean directly connect a DC motor to the FPGA pins? NO, that is almost certainly not possible, unless it is a very small low power motor.

    So what you will need is some type of a motor driver board; usually they have two or four reasonably high current capable MOSFET devices.

    Well - additionally to the power issue, motors are inductive elements. Thus even if the power would be enough to drive the Motor, I doubt the I/O Pins will deal with the voltage rise on power OFF...

    I have used a motor on a de2-115, but just to be sure I added a motor driver board (H-bridge) in between. If you search for motor+arduino you can find a number of these.
