Migrate from EP3C120 to EP3C40 (F484 packet)

Hi, All I am doing a design with EP3C120, and we will try to use EP3C40 when is done, with the same PCB. Suppose gate count and pin count are enough for both C120 and C40. How can I design ...

Hi,

broadly speaking, you need to select the EP3C40F484 as a migration device. Quartus will then perform the necessary checks.

Check the the Quartus Design Planning Guide, in particular the topics "Migration Planning" and "Early Pin Planning & I/O Analysis"
