MAX10 UART RSU - RemoteTerminal.exe DOES NOT WORK

Hello,

I have been reading the posts and I'm in a similar situation to the following post:

MAX10 UART RSU EXAMPLE NOT WORKING - Intel Community

There is no way I can see any information on the RemoteTerminal when trying to Perform the Remote System Upgrade with knight_rider.rpd.

Im following the REMOTE SYSTEM UPGRADE LAB (MAX 10 DEVELOPMENT KIT BOARD) and using the MAX10 dev kit.

Has been any updates on resolved this issue since was not resolved on the post linked earlier?

Thanks a lot.

    The steps followed are:

    1. Program the FPGA with pfl.sof (successfully)

    2. Program the Nios II firmware into QSPI Flash (this is NOT successful).

As a conclusion, the QSPI Flash doesn't get programmed and the RemoteTerminal does not execute the code from remote_update.c

Can anybody provide a correct nios_firmware.pof?

Also, the file softwarearchive.zip is missing from the RSU project. It is needed to manually create nios_firmware.pof

    Thanks

  • Hi,

I will check from my side, have you done any RSU example before? Have you check your MSEL pins for configuration?

  • Hi,

Could you try generating your own .pof and try to program your own .pof?

You could try to use the app1's .sopcinfo, build it to get the generated .hex to build the .pof as per the document. Then try to use that.

Have generated all on my own and it works now.

      Thanks.
