Honored ContributorJust to be really nit-picky here, the UART-like ASI/SDI oversampling solution is not a CDR system. It does a fine job at recovering the data, but there is no clock recovered. By the time the receiver gets the data, it is running along at the local clock frequency and there is no way to recover a clock at the receiver that has a 0 ppm difference from the transmit clock.
