DE10-Nano SoC LXDE and custom FPGA

Question

Good day All,

I have tried to program the "my_first_fpga" program available on the SystemCD using the USB Blaster, however that stops my Linux kernel (I am assuming it stops running the soc_system.rbf file).

I would like to know if it is possible to run a custom FPGA SoC program (a program that uses the FPGA and HPS) on a DE10-Nano SoC running the LXDE version (obtained from Terasic)?

Hi MR3Sorry you cant flash a custom FPGA SOC program(FPGA &amp; HPS) and have the Linux LXDE running.However, you could flash only a custom FPGA portion and still have the Linux LXDE running.RegardsJingyang, Teh

Hi MR3Sorry for the confusion. After digging further I found some new information.It is possible to run a bare-metal program and running the Linux Distribution.DE10 has a Cyclone5 SOC which has a dual CortexA9.Theoretically it is possible to run a bare-metal program on one core and a Linux Distribution on another.However we do not support Asymmetrical Multiprocessing.RegardsJingyang, Teh
