Altera.com search engine tips

i thought i'd create a thread with tips for searching Altera.com. please share any tips you have here.

i can't remember if i saw this tip on this forum or from somewhere else. although i like that forum results come up when searching Altera.com, sometimes i know i want a user guide or other pdf document. to search only pdfs on Altera.com type:

filetype:pdf

at the end of your search query. for example:

pcie filetype:pdf

the first result is the PCIe User Guide, quite useful.
