is possible in cycloneII device use 2 pins INPUT for differential rs422 signal? In quartus2 the differential buffer for cyclone2 is not allowed!

monday i can try this configuration and see if it works. regards, Luca p.s. the lvds standard use 2 wires (plus and minius) . but do the reference 3° wire is neccessary (ground)?
