Agilex 7 with LTM4700 PMBus-Compliant Voltage Regulator

I'm developing a platform based on the Agilex 7: AGFB008R24C2E2V
and since this chip uses Smart VID I'm looking for a power controller that would implement this function.
I would like to use LTM4700 since it is most suitable for my design, and I see that it support Smart VID PMBUS.
But this chip is not on the list of supported ones. FPGA SmartVID | Altera

I would like to understand if I can use LTM4700

I am concerned about the phrase : 

• If the voltage regulator is not properly selected and implemented, the device configuration will fail, and likely result in a costly board spin.

That’s why I’m asking here:

Can I safely use LTM4700 for SmartVID on Agilex 7 (AGFB008R24C2E2V)?

If so, do I simply select a similar regulator like LTM4677 in Quartus to activate SmartVID, assuming the PMBus address and protocol are correct?

Any confirmation or advice would be greatly appreciated.
