Agilex 5 E-Series Premium DevKit GSRD - Configuring bitstream in runtime

Hi,

I'm using the Agilex 5 E-Series Premium DevKit with a HPS Enablement Board and successfully booted the GSRD Linux image as described in the user guide (Agilex 5 E-Series Premium Development Kit GSRD User Guide - Altera-FPGA Site).

Now, I also made a few changes in the respective Quartus project and wanted to know if I could boot up the board with the Linux image running and program the bitstream on top of it.

Basicly wanted to test out the changes I made (which are small and don't affect the HPS) without having to recompile the Linux image.

I did try to program the .sof I generated via the Quartus Programmer but got the following error:

Error(19192): File ../ref_design_output_files/ghrd_a5ed065bb32ae6sr0.sof is incomplete - HPS is present but bootloader information is missing.

So my questions are:

• Can I program a bitstream on top of the already running Linux image obtainned through the User Guide?
• If so, how can I do it?
