1394b(firewire) interface puzzle

Well, the DE2-70 board does not have a 1394b port. But now I have a kind of 1394b/USB 2.0 data line which seems to transfer data from 1394b to usb 2.0. If I would like to use this line to achieve the 1394b's function, will it work well to collect video data and recognize them by Cyclone II?
