10M50DDF256C8G Programming Guide

Hi Altera Teams,

We are a third-party programmer manufacturer.

I am currently supporting the programming of the 10M50DDF256C8G IC.

The cover of the programming file I refer to is as shown below.

But I found that the ID of 10M50DDF256C8G was different from the description in the file.

The ID I read was 0x131050DD, but the description in the file was 0x031050DD.

I would like to ask if 10M50DDF256C8G can refer to this document to complete the programming support?

    Hi stev122,

    To answer your question, yes, both Program_Done_Bit_Address and ICB_PROGRAM_SUCCESS_Bit_Address directly refer to the settings of the 10M50 in the programming file.

    Additionally, I noticed you might have mistakenly referred to 0x031050DD. For the 10M50DDF256C8G, you should actually refer to it as 0x131050DD.

      It looks like the file I currently have is too old.

      I see that my file is from the 2020 version.

      Could you please provide me with the latest version of the document to facilitate my follow-up support? Thanks.

    Hi stev122,


    Which ID you are referring to? is is silicon ID or JTAG ID?

    Back to your question, basically this document is applicable regardless of any MAX 10 part number. The only thing you need to make sure is when you generate the bitstream, make sure the JTAG ID is matching with the physical device JTAG ID.

      I'm referring to JTAG Part Number IDs.

      Is it possible that the ID of 10M50DD is special?

        If it is determined that the programming process can be shared, I would like to ask another question.

        Can Program_Done_Bit_Address and ICB_PROGRAM_SUCCESS_Bit_Address also directly refer to the settings of 10M50 in the programming file?

    Hi Fakhrul.

    Maybe I can program it with a tool first and observe the wave behavior?

    Because usually the waveform of the tool will have some more instructions that are not mentioned in the programming guide, so it takes more time to analyze.
