Using Cypress SPI Flash to configure Arria II GX device

Question

I'm interested in using a Cypress SPI Flash memory to configure an Arria II GX FPGA.   I've read that some earlier versions of Quartus check the device ID before programming.  The Device ID check fails for Cypress SPI Flash Memory.  Is that still the case with Quartus Prime v19 and v20?
