Thank you for your reply. My understanding after going through the links provided is that no need of purchasing separate licenses for compiling production code as well. Is my understanding correct?

Hello,
May I know what you meant by production code?
For standard version you may use 30 day evaluation code to do compiling in Quartus, or you may just use the free Lite version of Quartus.
You would only need the Quartus license to use for design and compilation.
