EMIF Toolkit Eye diagram
Hi,
I am running "Generate Eye Diagram" from EMIF tool kit and see the error (attached with the message).
The tool runs for a while and then hangs. Not sure what's the issue.
Please let me know what could be the issue.

Hi Chris,
Are you testing with DDR4 EMIF Example Design?
What is the failure rate? Is it always occurs at a same time?
You may try to run nios2-terminal at the background while the Eye Diagram is been generated to avoid the toolkit from hang.

Hi Adzim,
I am running EMIF example design, the failure doesn't occur at the same time..some times it runs for 10 min and hangs..unpredictable..

Hi Chris,
I have looked into internal database to find the related Internal Error but couldn't find any.
I also try to find any similar issue that user may face before but without success.
Can you provide the steps that you have done to reproduce the error?
Can you attach the example design that you have used as well?
Regards,
Adzim

Hi Chris,
Thank you for providing the steps.
I have run a few tests on my side by following your steps.
The errors don't appear in the toolkit.
Have you tried to generate all report under the Macro section?
Does the calibration report can be generated?
If yes, can you share the calibration report here?
Here my email: [email protected].
My time zone is GMT+8.

Hi Chris,
Sorry for a bit of delay to respond to your comment.
I already checking your calibration report and the memory did calibrated successfully.
I have done some tests to Arria 10 Development Kit but cannot reproduce the issue at my end.
I would encourage to check the minimum PC requirement to use Quartus at this point.
You may increase the virtual memory to equal to recommended physical RAM that required to process your design.
You can check the recommended physical RAM in Intel® Quartus® Prime Software and Device Support Release Notes document from this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/660925/intel-quartus-prime-pro-edition-design-software-version-20-1-for-windows.html
If that still not resolve the issue, you may try to switch to latest Quartus version.

Adzim
