DK-DEV-AGI027RBES missing device selection

Hi,

Saw similar issues on slightly different part numbers.

I have the following ES2 development board: DK-DEV-AGI027RBES which has the AGIB027R29A1E2VR3 device part number.

I couldn't find this part number in Quartus Pro 26.1 nor older versions like Quartus Pro 23.3

Furthermore, when running JTAG scan in 23.3 it seems like IDCODE is shared across multiple devices where neither of them is the part I have:

Quartus 23.3 device selection does show the part I have:

I prefer working with 26.1 and receiving a patch to support this part number if possible, if not please guide which Quartus version is best to use in my case.

Thanks!

    Hi Michael1,

I'm checking this internally and will get back to you.
One thing is, I would like to clarify when you said "I couldn't find this part number in Quartus Pro 26.1 nor older versions like Quartus Pro 23.3 "

but you also said "Quartus 23.3 device selection does show the part I have:"

    Can you confirm this?

    Regards,
    Fakhrul

      Hi Fakhrul,
Thanks for replying, let me clarify.

      1) In Quartus Pro 26.1 the exact device OPN that I have doesn't exist in the device selection list:

      2) Quartus 26.1 Programmer detects the following part number upon JTAG scan:

      3) In Quartus Pro 23.3 the exact part number does exist as shown in the original post 2nd picture.

      4) In Quartus 23.3 Programmer the JTAG scan shows numerous possible Agilex 7 devices which share the same IDCODE as it read during scan operation (none of them is the exact part).

Also, I have read the Agilex 7 known issues covered in document 683584 and see many disturbing issues that could affect my project's scope (mainly around F-tile bugs) which should be solved in newer Quartus versions so I think our focus should be on enabling the work with this specifiv Evaluation Kit with Quartus Pro 26.1

Here is a picture of the kit for reference:
