Why is the DisplayPort Intel® FPGA IP Design Example missing audio data packets and secondary data packets in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1?

Description

Due to a problem with the DisplayPort Intel® FPGA IP, you may observe secondary data packet mismatch errors when using the IP in Displayport version 1.4 video testing with 4 lanes. 

Hence, there are no secondary data packets and no audio data packets.

 

Resolution

A patch is available to fix this problem for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 23.1. 

Download and install Patch 0.20 from the following links:

• Version 23.1 Patch 0.20 for Windows (.exe) 
• Version 23.1 Patch 0.20 for Linux (.run)
• Readme for version 23.1 Patch 0.20 (.txt)

This problem has been fixed starting in version 23.2 of the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
