Why does the Traffic Generator 2.0 (TG2) Toolkit for the Intel Agilex® 3 DDR4 IP show that TG Status failed but the register TG_PASS = 1 under the Configuration and Status Registers tab?

Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2, the TG2 Toolkit for the Intel Agilex® 3 DDR4 IP may show different results under the TG Status Report tab compared to the Configuration and Status Registers tab. For example, the TG Status is red and the Number of Avalon Read Command issued = 0 under the TG Status Report tab, but the register TG_Pass = 1 and the register TG_READ_COUNT = 1 under the Configuration and Status Registers tab.

Resolution

To work around this problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.2, use the results reported in the TG2 Toolkit under the Configuration and Status Registers tab for the Intel Agilex® DDR4 IP.

This TG Status Report problem is fixed starting with the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 21.3.
