Why can I not re-open the PCI Express Hard IP in v14.0.2 of the Quartus® II software?

Description

Due to a problem in Quartus® II software version 14.0.2, the IP Catalog does not recognize IPs with a v14.0.2 number.

Resolution

This problem can be worked around by editing the first line of the generated file to change from v14.0.2 to v14.0 description, for example, from:

VHDL variation

-- megafunction wizard: %Stratix V Hard IP for PCI Express v14.0.2%

to

-- megafunction wizard: %Stratix V Hard IP for PCI Express v14.0%

Verilog variation

// megafunction wizard: %Cyclone V Hard IP for PCI Express v14.0.2%

to

// megafunction wizard: %Cyclone V Hard IP for PCI Express v14.0%
