xilinx ise 10.1 problem

hi ..

i install xilinx 10.1 ise . after installing i run ise. as it open a message appear ,

"xilinx ise has stopped working"

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: _pn.exe

Application Version: 1.0.0.1

Application Timestamp: 4786a9f0

Fault Module Name: msvcrt.dll

it closes the ISE ..

how to fix it.

i m using windows 7

i install ise twice bt same error..

plz help me how to fix this error..

It's very simple: stop using Xilinx, move to Altera and have no problems with ****ty software anymore!

i have altera too .. i i have a code that uses UNISIM library . it dosent complie on qurtus .  what to do ?

Simulation libraries are designed for simulation only. You can't use them for synthesis.

plus, the unisim library is meant for xilinx's primitives. you gotta find their equivalents' for altera, which means you gotta study the code :)
