When installing Lite version, the Standard version is installed.

Hello all!

I downloaded lite version 17.1 from here:

http://dl.altera.com/?edition=lite

The one with md5 9f6f40457b10e6e395e2b015d71f29be

md5 agreed, everything is ok

Unzip, install.

At installation everywhere the word "lite" appears.

After installation, I see the following: 

$ ./quartus/bin/quartus --version
Quartus Prime Design Software
Version 17.1.0 Build 590 10/25/2017 SJ Standard Edition
Copyright (C) 2017 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.

Why was standard version installed?

How do I install the lite version?

    what happens if you run Quartus, which version do you get?

    Do you have both version installed or only lite?

    tar archive md5sum remained the same.

    But the issues, really, is gone.

    The issue is more tricky than I described first.

    In addition, this also affects another issue associated with hls (https://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57954).

    Main thing -- what exactly do you choose in installer menu (consider installing via GUI).

    option 1.

    If you choose anything other than quartus prime help or modelsim.

    In this case installation will complete successfully.

    You will have Lite version and you will have hls/ directory.

    option2

    You add to selection quartus prime help or modelsim.

    You will have an additional window that says "Installation completed".

    But this message does not apply to whole process, but only to its part.

    In fact, the installation process will not be completed.

    Steps that turn standard version into lite version will not be performed.

    Also no creating hls/ directory.
