    Hi Dana,

    1. Have you upgraded to a new version of software?
    2. Your software will stop working if your license file expires.Check your .dat file
    3. Did you point to the license file in the software?
    4. Open the License Setup window in the Intel® Quartus® development software (Tools menu -> License Setup). Check to see whether the network interface card (NIC) ID section of the System Info box matches the NIC ID specified in your license file.

The NIC ID in your license file is the 12-digit hexadecimal number after the word HOSTID.

    Example: HOSTID=00C04FA0B182.

      Hi Anand,

Thanks for the replay, our problem with the NIOS license isn't related to the SW but to the fact that our NIC ID on the laptop changed, we used an old ID and need to upgrade to a new one. We can do this by access the Intel license service but we can't login to this acount now.

To solve this problem you can either help us to reset our acount password so we can re-try to access the license serivce or we will send you the new NIC ID and you can generate for us a new license using this new ID.

I hope this is more clear now.

      Best Regards, Dana.

    Hi Dana,

Okay, If your NIC ID appear is wrong.

You may be able to fix this problem by adding a key in the Windows registry.

Use the Registry Editor (regedt32.exe) to view the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters

    Add the following registry value:

    Value Name DisableDHCPMediaSense

    Data TypeREG_DWORD -Boolean

    Value 1

Reboot your computer for the change to take effect.
