15 years agoVector Waveform File missing in 10.1?
I am supporting instructors at a university who use Quartus II as a teaching tool. The labs were upgraded from Windows Vista-32 bit to Windows 7-64 bit just prior to my arrival 6 months ago. After the upgrade it was noted that the ByteBlaster cables no longer worked ( and it seems that they never will), and that a new Quartus was available, so I dl'd and installed it on the lab machines, and now it seems that the Vector Waveform File and the simulation that went with it is missing, too.
The instructors show the vector waveforms to students, to illustrate, for example, what happens when 2 square waves of different lengths are inputs to a XNOR gate and how the output is affected. How can they do that now? I am not at all familiar with the program myself, so if you can give me specific ideas, I would appreciate it! Also, any ideas on how to actually program devices with Windows 7 64 bit? Thank You!
