How about for earlier Quartus version installers which do not give you the option to specify cacert.pem via the GUI or command line? I am attempting to install Quartus Prime Pro 23.4 and this is the case. See attached.
I tried to install Quartus 25.1 by Quartus Prime Lite Edition Installer (SFX) and got an error message. I tried out all the step available on internet to fix this. From command prompt to updating & reinstalling the drivers. Though my Wi-Fi is working perfectly, I'm getting the same connection error message. I also tried your way to download it. Still no progress.
Recently, there is an issue with the installer certification and this will be fixed in the next Quartus installer release. I am not sure if this might be the cause as the error message should stated :
Test download failed with certificate error: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate (curlcode 60)
However, you will need to apply the workaround below; otherwise, the installer will display the error shown above. Please let me know how it goes after you have applied the workaround.
Workaround: Kindly download the attached cacert.pem (unzip it first) to your machine, and from the installer settings, please specify to the new cacert.pem and test the connection. You should be able to download it.
Which Quartus installer are you using? What error message are you encountering? Please provide the steps you performed to trigger the error, as well as any debugging or troubleshooting steps you have already taken.
