time-limited core

Info: Design contains a time-limited core -- only a single, time-limited programming file can be generated

I got this message and couple of similar reminder when I compiled the niosII sopc settings. I had purchased DE2115 board and use the QuartusII web edition 10.0 and Nios II IDE 10.0 as well accompany with the DVD shipped together with the board. I wish disconnect the USB blaster and run itself but this time-limited core is an issue for this. Can someone propose a solution?

    you can either buy a license for the Nios II CPU or switch the CPU to the Nios II/e version, that doesn't require a license.

    I am sorry...I purchased the board with the DVD along. Shouldn't that already a paid version? what do you mean by I need to buy a licence? And also, the Quartus II subscription version is only available for 30days trial...what's happening? Isn't that suppose to come along with the board?

    You should install the Web edition of Quartus, this one shouldn't require a license.

    AFAIK the development kit doesn't come with any IP license. Most of the megafunctions that you can use with Quartus are free, but some of them (such as the Nios II CPU's, other than the Nios II/e) require a special license.

    It's part of Quartus, use Qsys. There is an option to select NIOS II/e.

    I haven't tried it yet, but I will be using it with my DE0-Nano.
