SW-ONE-QUARTUS & SW-MODELSIM-AE compatibility

Hello,

According to following post: community.intel.com/t5/Intel-FPGA-Software-Installation/Is-SW-ONE-QUARTUS-for-Quartus-Prime-Standard-or-Prime-Pro/m-p/1579992#M5679
Intel Quartus Prime Standard is now included within the purchase of SW-ONE-Quartus licence. So, does it mean that this licence also works with previous software versions such as Quartus 6?

In addition, in the link above there's also a mention on the Questa licences, although It's not clear to me if ModelSim module is part of the purchase of these licences. For example, is ModelSim included in SW-QUESTA-PLUS licence? If yes, is this licence also compatible with previous versions of ModelSim?

What exactly is the difference between a Questa licence & licences available through the following link? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/software-kit/750666/modelsim-intel-fpgas-standard-edition-software-version-20-1-1.html

And Lastly, is SW-ONE-Quartus compatible with Questa licences and with Modelsim licences ?

    Hello

    Welcome to INTEL forum. Yes, The SW-ONE-Quartus license includes Quartus Prime Standard and this license covers the current Quartus version. Generally, licenses for newer versions of software do not retroactively support significantly older versions unless specifically stated.

    Based on my understanding, SW-QUESTA-PLUS license does not include ModelSim license.

    2. Difference Between Questa Licenses and ModelSim Licenses

    · ModelSim: A more basic, entry-level simulation tool mainly used for design verification in FPGA design workflows.

    · Questa: An advanced simulation and verification tool that includes additional features like advanced debugging, coverage analysis, and formal verification capabilities. It's more suited for complex and larger designs.

    3. SW-ONE-Quartus is primarily for Quartus and included bundle with Questa license.
