SPI Megafunction?

I am trying to use a Cyclone III device as an SPI slave (among other things). I see that there is a megafuntion "altufm_spi" that decodes the serial data stream for me, but it is only for MAX II devices. Isn't there a simple megafunction out there that I can use for SPI? If not, does anyone have some VHDL or AHDL code I could use?
