SOPC and asynchronous reset

I created an SOPC design (all V12.0) which worked. This design included an Avalon ALTPLL with an asynchronous reset (areset).

Now I want to remove the areset from the design, which I attempted to do by unclicking the relevant check box, but SOPC insists on including it in the design.

How do I get rid of it?
