Yes, you are right, the source code I heired is in many ways not like everything that i read about designing software for Nios II. But the first step will be to get it running like it has before. Fortunatly, the Nios II has neither Data nor Code cache (at least none which I am aware off . . . ).

I really welcome your answers even if they are as short as the one from Daixiwen. Even in short ones like this I can get some ideas about what to do and what better not to.
