Signal name display in SignalTap

Is there a way to get SignalTap to display signal names only without displaying the entire path to the signal? I'm tying to use the Beta GUI because I'm running SignalTap on a system over the Internet and the new Linux native GUI is orders of magnitude then the old GUI. Unfortunately right alignment doesn't seem to work and neither does Alias which are the two work arounds for SignalTap's use of ridiculously long pathnames.

    The full name is needed internally to identify the signal unequivocally, I think. You may want to use shorter instance and component names to avoid "ridiculously" long identifiers. But you can set a short alias name. You can modify the stp file on a local computer with SignalTap or edit the *.stp XML file directly.
