New ContributorAnybody has experience running Quartus Standard Edition under a VMware workstation? I used the Lite/free/web edition without any problem. But never tried the licensed edition. Does the license manager work ok?
Super ContributorI've used fixed license with no problems. If your network setup in the VM works and you can get to the license server, you shouldn't have any issues.
New ContributorThanks. But not quite sure I understand. Are you using a fixed or a floating license? If it is fixed, why do you need a remote license server at all? Shouldn't be able to run the license server locally on the VM?
Super ContributorI'm using fixed, but I have used floating in the past. I've never run the license server on the same machine, though.
