Hello Farabi,

Thank you for your response. I believe you have misunderstood my issue. I do NOT have an issue converting an sof file to an rbf file.

My issue is that running quartus_asm automatically invokes quartus_pfg. The quartus_pfg command then fails unpredictably. This causes the quartus_asm and also the entire run to return an error code.

Yes, I can re-run quartus_pfg and it eventually succeeds, but this behavior (quartus_pfg failing non-deterministically) conflicts any CI pipeling that developers might want to setup and is surely not intended.

status update: I have run 3 times, but there is no RBF file generated. This is align with expected behavior of the Quartus settings. 

 

I will try more and let you know.
